A Bona Fide Killer Episode 2 raises the stakes immediately by revealing the aftermath of Bona’s successful sniper mission. Detective Dongjin arrives at the crime scene to investigate the assassination, but the case quickly becomes more mysterious. After carefully examining the evidence, he realizes the fatal shot was fired from nearly 500 meters away from a nearby church. Although others believe such a shot is impossible, Dongjin is convinced only the legendary assassin known as Kingfisher could have pulled it off.

He also suspects that all surveillance footage has already been erased, leaving investigators with almost no useful evidence. This opening sets the tone for an episode filled with suspense, hidden identities, and dangerous secrets.

Dongjin Becomes Certain Kingfisher Has Returned

Dongjin refuses to dismiss the case as an ordinary murder. His investigation points toward Kingfisher, a deadly assassin who disappeared years ago. The lack of fingerprints, DNA, and usable clues only strengthens his belief.

Meanwhile, former investigator Taesung learns about the sniper attack through the news. His colleagues remind him how close he once came to dying while chasing Kingfisher, but despite the painful memories, the latest murder forces him to confront his past once again.

Although Taesung initially refuses to reopen the Kingfisher investigation because he is focused on another criminal involved in international drug trafficking, his superiors continue pushing him back toward the old case.

Bona Balances Family Life and a Secret Identity

One of the biggest strengths of Episode 2 is how it contrasts Bona’s deadly profession with her peaceful family life.

After completing an impossible assassination, Bona returns to being a caring mother. She video calls her daughter, picks her up from school, and spends time with Taesung as if nothing unusual has happened.

This dual life makes her character even more compelling. She is one of the world’s most skilled assassins, yet she is equally devoted to protecting her family from discovering the truth.

The episode also introduces more members of Bona’s organization. Weapons specialist Timing is revealed to be the person responsible for creating Bona’s customized equipment, showing how carefully every mission is planned behind the scenes.

Dongjin and Taesung Share an Important Conversation

Dongjin later meets Taesung at a restaurant, where their playful friendship quickly turns into a serious discussion about Kingfisher.

Dongjin explains that although the weapon used in the latest murder is different from previous cases, the execution is nearly identical. The only clue left behind is a common sticker that can be found in countless homes across Korea, making it almost impossible to trace.

Taesung jokes that even his own house has the same sticker, highlighting just how frustrating the investigation has become. Their conversation also raises new questions about Kingfisher’s disappearance. Did the assassin retire, get injured, go to prison, or simply choose to start a family?

Ironically, viewers already know the truth that neither investigator can imagine.

A New Character Brings a Dangerous Threat

The biggest turning point arrives with the introduction of Hyunam, a new employee who joins Bona’s organization.

At first, she appears to be just another specialist, introducing herself as an expert in poisons. However, her constant attention toward Bona immediately feels suspicious.

Soon, the audience learns her real identity. Hyunam’s true name is Sang, and she has spent the last 15 years waiting for an opportunity to take revenge. As a child, she witnessed Bona kill her father during an assassination mission, and she has never forgotten that moment.

Rather than attacking immediately, Hyunam carefully infiltrates Bona’s workplace to get close enough for the perfect revenge.

The Investigation Takes Another Unexpected Turn

Taesung receives surprising news from the police that another suspicious death has officially been ruled an accident instead of murder.

He strongly disagrees with the conclusion, believing the investigation was incomplete. This subplot suggests there may be a much larger conspiracy hiding beneath the surface, with several important details being ignored or deliberately covered up.

At the same time, Hyunam continues observing Bona’s every move, making it clear that her revenge plan is already in motion.

Episode 2 Ending Explained: Bona Makes an Incredible Sacrifice

The final moments deliver the episode’s most emotional and shocking sequence.

Taesung receives an anonymous message claiming someone has information about Kingfisher and is asked to meet at a specific location. At the same time, Bona is invited elsewhere, creating the perfect trap.

Soon, Bona receives a photo showing Taesung has been captured. She rushes to rescue him while Bongpal’s team discovers Hyunam’s true identity and realizes she joined the organization solely to take revenge.

When Bona finally confronts Hyunam, she demands to know where Taesung is. Instead of answering, Hyunam reveals she has already poisoned Taesung. The only antidote is in her possession.

In one of the episode’s strongest scenes, Bona shocks everyone by drinking the same poison herself. She tells Hyunam that if she truly wants revenge, she will have to kill both husband and wife together.

Hyunam is left completely stunned by Bona’s willingness to sacrifice her own life, ending the episode on a tense cliffhanger.

A Bona Fide Killer Episode 2 Review

A Bona Fide Killer Episode 2 successfully expands the drama beyond its action scenes by giving every major character meaningful development. Dongjin’s investigation becomes more engaging, Taesung’s connection to the Kingfisher case grows stronger, and Bona’s struggle between motherhood and her deadly past remains the emotional core of the series.

Hyunam is an excellent addition to the story because her revenge is deeply personal rather than random. Her history with Bona instantly raises the emotional stakes and creates a compelling new conflict that promises bigger confrontations ahead.

The episode also balances suspense, emotional family moments, mystery, and action without feeling rushed. The final poison sequence is particularly memorable and delivers one of the strongest cliffhangers of the series so far.

Overall, A Bona Fide Killer Episode 2 is a gripping installment that deepens the mystery surrounding Kingfisher while introducing a powerful new antagonist. With Bona risking everything to protect her family and Hyunam finally revealing her true intentions, the drama sets up an intense and highly anticipated Episode 3.
