Park Jin-young is officially reclaiming his title as a K-Pop powerhouse with the release of his highly anticipated second mini-album, ‘Said & Done’, scheduled for May 13. This comeback marks a significant milestone for the GOT7 member, who has spent the last few years dominating the acting world while quietly refining a more mature, introspective musical identity. Park Jin-young’s ‘Said & Done’ is not just a collection of songs; it is a meticulously crafted narrative that explores the “ultimate remains” of human emotion—love—after all the noise of life has faded.

A Star-Studded Collaboration with Wonpil and Choi Yuri

Fans are particularly buzzing about the tracklist, which features high-profile collaborations that promise a rich, layered listening experience. Park Jin-young has teamed up with DAY6’s Wonpil for the track “Seventeen,” a pairing that has long been a dream for fans of the JYP aesthetic. Additionally, the album features the ethereal vocals of singer-songwriter Choi Yuri on the track “External Love.” These collaborations, alongside production work by the renowned artist Cloud, elevate the album’s sonic landscape, blending Jin-young’s signature emotional tone with fresh, modern textures.

Exploring the Sound of ‘Said & Done’

The album is a genre-bending journey that reflects Park Jin-young’s artistic evolution since his 2021 single “DIVE” and his 2023 debut EP ‘Chapter 0: WITH’. Listeners can expect a diverse range of sounds, including:

  • 90s Nostalgia: Modern takes on danceable pop that pay homage to the golden era of R&B.
  • Jazzy R&B: Smooth tracks featuring brass-heavy sounds that highlight his stable, soulful vocal delivery.
  • Dreamy Dream-Pop: Atmospheric tracks designed to transport the listener into Jin-young’s personal memories.

The Heart Behind the Narrative

The title ‘Said & Done’ carries a heavy philosophical weight. It suggests that once the stories are told and the words are finished, the only thing that truly matters is what remains in the heart. This project draws from Jin-young’s childhood moments and the fading emotions of his youth, weaving them into a cohesive story about growth. For an artist who has successfully balanced a demanding acting career with his musical roots, this album feels like his most personal communication with the public yet.

’Said & Done’ Official Tracklist

The six-track album is structured to guide the listener through various stages of reflection and realization:

  1. And Now
  2. EVERLOVE
  3. Seventeen (feat. Wonpil of DAY6)
  4. Different Tracks
  5. Will I be okay
  6. External love (feat. Choi Yuri)
