See You at Work Tomorrow Episode 8 gives Si U and Ji Yoon one happy hour — until a ten-year-old wedding photo, Ga Eul’s public plea, and Su Jin’s dementia-hit mother send Ji Yoon walking away in tears. Yoon A learns the real story behind U Jin’s breakup and makes him hers, while Yong Hoon plants a bomb under demo day. Here’s the full recap, ending explained, and a review.

A Morning Run and a Message Ji Yoon Won’t Read

On their morning run, Ji Yoon gasses out fast, and Si U just picks her up and carries her home. Later, waiting on a bench while he fetches drinks, she replays their bathroom kiss and blushes — until his phone buzzes. She wants to look, even suspects it’s Su Jin, then stops herself.

Si U returns with water instead of her soda and shares the message openly: Yong Hoon joins the team next week. Ji Yoon is thrilled, and she confirms he’s picking her up for the rehearsal.

Ga Eul’s Last Stand at Rehearsal

At rehearsal, Ji Yoon tells Hye Ji she’s dating Si U; Hye Ji nearly chokes — his ex is Ji Yoon’s own mentor — but Ji Yoon doesn’t care: she’s the happiest she’s ever been, and Hye Ji can meet him at the wedding.

Outside, Ga Eul asks if they can at least stay friends — then Si U arrives with a pointed “we meet again,” and Ga Eul scrambles to place him. Ji Yoon apologizes; Si U tells her to finish her conversation. Ga Eul asks who that man is. My boyfriend, she says. Stop coming to me.

Si U later admits he knew Ga Eul was circling her and trusted she’d say so herself — and no, he has no feelings for Su Jin. Meanwhile, Hye Ji accidentally tells Ga Eul the thing he didn’t know: Si U is divorced.

Office Watch: Security, Secret Hand-Holds, and a Saboteur

At the company, President U Jin orders extra security for demo day, and Yong Hoon instantly proves his worth. Ji Yoon’s quiet win: after a second meeting, the final design credit is hers.

The secret dating hits peak comedy — a lunch-table kick when Si U keeps loading her plate, and a crowded elevator where he takes her hand, so she grabs a colleague’s for cover. Then the knife slides in: Yong Hoon returns on the weekend, waves Gi Tae off, and rigs a Home AI unit to error later. Mr. Noh’s mole just armed demo day.

Yoon A Gets the Real Breakup Story

Yoon A is dodging U Jin’s pathetic texts until her sister Yoon Ra confiscates her phone, while U Jin asks a friend if he’s really hopeless and hears only that he never goes all-in on anything.

Then U Jin’s ex asks Yoon A to meet — and her truth rearranges everything. U Jin never dumped her; she ended it when her feelings died, and he took the blame. He’d even bolted mid-visit once, the second Yoon A needed him. A flirt with a good heart, the ex says. The choice is Yoon A’s.

It clicks after a group blind date: outside, U Jin is waiting. Walking home, he admits he vanished to spare her — and came back because staying away hurt more. Yoon A sets the rules — mutual respect, no playboy habits, no other girls — and U Jin accepts all of it, eyes wet; he truly thought he’d never see her again. She hugs him, they kiss, and the show’s second couple goes official.

Marriage Graduation Goes Sideways

Hye Kyung turns her own birthday dinner tense by producing “marriage graduation” papers — legal freedom from a wife’s duties once Yeong Muk signs. Alone with her dad afterward, Ji Yoon asks the obvious: you love us, so why not Mom? His answer aches. He’s terrified of losing her, it’s a graduation form rather than divorce, and he means to keep trying.

Then Yeong Muk slips and injures his leg. Hye Kyung rushes to tend to him, the court trip evaporates, and Ji Yoon calls the injury what it is: a chance for Mom to care for him. Si U, having overheard everything, immediately offers to drive her to the shop.

The Truth About Su Jin’s Mother

In the car, Ji Yoon is mid-question when Si U’s phone rings — Su Jin’s mother, with Su Jin grabbing the call and cutting it. At the shop, Ji Yoon asks outright, and he finally tells the whole story: Su Jin’s mother has dementia, stuck in the year they married, and her world still has a son-in-law — she asks for him constantly. That’s why Su Jin pulled him into the car. Why stay quiet? Because he loves Ji Yoon, and even given a redo, he’d carry it alone. She draws her line: don’t go. He agrees.

Days later, running, Ji Yoon keeps replaying how Si U twice let her settle things with Ga Eul herself — no jealousy, no leash. She calls him: go, one last time, then come straight to Hye Ji’s wedding. Don’t be late.

The meeting itself starts warmly — until Su Jin’s mother takes Si U’s hand, freezes, and asks who he is. Si U tells Su Jin he can’t come again; he’s dating someone. Then you shouldn’t have come, she replies. She’s fine — he told her first. Moments later, her mother falls.

Hye Ji’s Wedding and One Devastating Photo

Gi Tae, digging for Si U’s weakness, strikes gold in a friend’s ancient post: Si U and Su Jin, beaming, in wedding dress.

At the wedding, everything is warm — Hye Ji’s apology, the group singing, Ji Yoon watching the door — until Si U slips in. He sees her; she doesn’t see him. Ga Eul reaches her first, photo in hand: you’re not as happy as he looks in this, and he doesn’t deserve you. I’m not asking for a fresh start — just stop liking someone with this much history. Si U appears behind him, calm and cold: that’s her choice. Not yours.

See You at Work Tomorrow Episode 8 Ending Explained

Ji Yoon pulls Si U outside. You’re late — and I wish you’d never come. Then the quiet part: she saw the wedding photo. It’s his past, and she can’t stop thinking about it anyway.

For the first time, Si U apologizes and begs her to stop assuming — ask anything, directly. That’s when Ji Yoon breaks. The bigger her feelings grow, the smaller she makes herself; she knew his past and chose this anyway, so what can she even complain about? Forgive me, but I’m not as strong as you. Why should I carry the weight of your past? She walks away. Episode 8 ends.

See You at Work Tomorrow Episode 8 Review

This See You at Work Tomorrow Episode 8 recap covers the show’s most loaded hour yet. The dementia subplot is handled with restraint, Yoon A and U Jin’s negotiated commitment lands as genuinely healthy TV, and Yong Hoon’s tampering gives the office plot real menace. The finale speech hurts because Ji Yoon isn’t wrong — and neither is Si U. Rating: 8.5 out of 10.

That’s our complete See You at Work Tomorrow Episode 8 recap. Ji Yoon gone, the photo public, demo day rigged to fail — Episode 9 has wreckage to clear.
