The episode opens right where we left off, with I Rang about to confess his feelings to Na Yeon. However, his body is hijacked by a child ghost, preventing the romantic moment and leading to a comical scene where I Rang starts playing with a puppy. Back at the office, the child ghost refuses to answer questions, instead pretending to be “Lighting Man.” I Rang, desperate to regain control, tries to negotiate with the spirit, asking about the woman in the park. The child ghost recalls her being “angry and glaring,” which I Rang mistakenly assumes is Na Yeon.
As news of the possession spreads, Gyeong Hwa, Bong Soo, and Da Bong prepare food to take to the office. Da Bong, who shares a special bond with the child ghost, ends up singing and dancing with I Rang, much to the amusement of the staff. Na Yeon eventually arrives, practicing how to talk to I Rang, only to be met with a “childish” version of him who teases her and runs away.
The plot thickens when I Rang finds a golf ball in the child ghost’s pocket with the initials GSG. Suspecting this is linked to the child’s death, I Rang begins researching golf courses. Meanwhile, in a quiet moment, Da Bong notices how Na Yeon looks at I Rang, comparing it to how her mother used to look at her father. The playful atmosphere shifts when some kids splash water on I Rang, causing the ghost to exit his body. Realizing he teased Na Yeon while possessed, I Rang tries to apologize, but Na Yeon is visibly flustered.
A parallel story unfolds involving Bongil. He visits Gyeong Hwa’s restaurant, but finds it closed. Gyeong Hwa invites him to her home for a meal. While she is busy, Bongil begins snooping around, specifically looking for a diary or notes left by Gyeong Hwa’s late husband. His “terrible smile” as he leaves suggests he is searching for something incriminating or valuable.
I Rang eventually identifies the golf course associated with the GSG ball. At the same time, a woman reports her son missing at the police station, describing him as wearing yellow shoes. I Rang meets a Lieutenant named Chae Yong at a pizza shop. Chae Yong claims to remember I Rang from the station and offers to help find the missing child.
However, back at the office, Na Yeon is consulted by a client who wants a divorce to “protect” his wife from the trauma of their missing son, Seo. He reveals that on the day Seo disappeared, he was wearing yellow shoes and the mother had missed the pickup. As Na Yeon sends this information to I Rang, the child ghost—who has I Rang’s phone—sees the message. The realization hits: the ghost is Seo, and his memories flood back. He sees that the “helpful” Lieutenant Chae Yong is actually his kidnapper.

I Rang and Chae Yong arrive at the golf course. I Rang hears the sound of a ball being thrown in a room, but Chae Yong denies hearing anything. Inside the car, Seo (the ghost) realizes the danger and runs in to save I Rang. A brutal fight breaks out between I Rang and Chae Yong. Chae Yong, desperate to cover his tracks, even attacks another police officer who becomes suspicious of the pizza boxes in the car.
During the chaos, Seo manages to use a taser on Chae Yong, momentarily stopping him. He then splashes water on himself, telling I Rang to get his body to a hospital. As they flee in the car, Chae Yong wakes up and fires multiple shots. I Rang manages to reach the hospital, but he has been hit.
The episode ends on a devastating note. Na Yeon arrives at the hospital after being notified that I Rang was admitted. She finds him unconscious and breaks down in tears, crying that she should have stayed with him. In a shocking twist, I Rang’s soul leaves his body. He stands there, watching Na Yeon sob over his physical form, and asks himself, “Am I dead?”
